Europe 2018 - July 9 - Nierstein to Kelsterbach

Monday - July 9
We are headed back to the east side of the river and arrived at the ferry dock just a few minutes before departure.
We did have plenty of time for pictures though.
Looking back at Nierstein and Kilianskirche (church) on the hill.

So many choices! We do appreciate all the signing we find along the paths.
On our way from the Rhine River.....
.......to the Mainz River.
This was quite the bridge structure that took us over a water basin adjacent to the river. We got to the hotel in time for a late lunch. Afterwards, Doug, Donna, and Megan rode to the airport to check out the logistics for getting Megan's bike on the flight with her on Wednesday. It took us 2 hours to figure it all out. The Frankfurt Airport is NOT bike friendly. The information desk told us to use the tram to get to Terminal 2. The tram told us to use the bus. The bus driver told us to ride our bikes. The bike path didn't go to the terminal entrance. It was pretty frustrating but at least we knew what we would be up against. At dinner we came up with Plan A, Plan B, and Plan C.
Nierstein to Kelsterbach

End of Week 3 - Montbeliard, France to Kelsterbach, Germany
295 miles -  476 kilometers
Total trip so far: 543 miles - 875 kilometers
We are starting to think of this as the trip of "C's". So far we have had 6 of the 10 that will be on our final list. They are: Cycling, Canals, Camping, the Cup, Churches, and Construction.
