Europe 2018 - July 15 - Andernach to Bonn

Sunday - July 15
The light was just too nice to resist taking more pictures.
Notice the flags.....no wind for now.
The route out of town did not follow the river. Even though it looks like we are going upriver we are really headed downriver
We just had to get up to this road to do it.

In Brohl-Lutzig
Then it was back down to the river.

Another repeat as we took a picture here in 2011 also.
Over the Ahr River
In Kripp, where we stopped for some cold drinks at the ferry's snack shop.

Just watching people enjoy the day while Doug and Lori were inside the Remagen Bridge Museum. The museum is well done and we have stopped here before. You just can't take picture inside.
A "little" Sunday chess game in Oberwinter.

Castles Drachenfels and Drachenburg (#11 and #12) are on the horizon.
Looks like we are getting close to Bonn.

We watched France win the World Cup 4-2 over Croatia before we went to dinner. It was the expected outcome but we still rooted for Croatia.
And we are in Germany. Can you imagine what it must have been like in France!
New life for an old phone booth.
So many choices!
Next stop Beethoven's house.

A fine end to a very fine day....and our hotel has air-conditioning!
