Europe 2018 - July 6 - Kehl, Germany to Lauterbourg, France

Friday - July 6
It was also a long night as it was very noisy until after the bars and casinos closes at 2 am. However, it was still raining when we woke up so we had a very leisurely morning.
It stopped about 10:00 and we were on the road soon after Doug got all our tires pumped up. Yes, he is spoiling the rest of us just a little as we do know how to do it ourselves.
Observing the storks and their luxurious accommodations in Dresheim.
More beautiful flower fields just south of Freistett where we stopped for lunch at a kebab shop.
Hurray, the sun is back!
And just in time for our ferry ride back across the Rhine.
We know you've heard it before but we love ferries, especially when we are bike touring.
That's a lot of megabytes being used up at the same time!
And now we are back in France....
 .....and their colorful roundabouts.
We shared the end of the France/Uruguay World Cup match with the locals, another reason it was fun to be back in France one more day.
Doug had a lot of fun practicing his street photojournalism hobby after France won again (2- 0).
Meanwhile, Lori and Donna checked out the nearby church.
After things calmed down a little and we had dinner, we wandered around this town of 2,200 people.
This delightful little town turned out to be the perfect place to spend our last night in France.
