This canal provides a boating connection between the Rhone River and the Rhine River following the Doubs River. |
A bit of garden art in L'Isle sur le Doubs where we stopped to get some first aid cream for Doug's tick bite. |
A very diverse insect hotel! |
A well-equipped bike shop located right on the canal. It had a restroom, tables, chairs, a repair station, covered bike parking, and Wifi plus lots of bike stuff....bike touring heaven! |
There was a deviation for Eurovelo 6 that took us to the top of this hill in Etouvans so it was downhill to lunch. |
Our shady lunch spot in Bart. |
It was very tasty!! |
Almost to our destination. |
So different than last night's campground. |
After showers, we walked up to the Museum of Chateau de ducs de Wurtenberg. |
It was quite the mix of natural history, |
human history, |
and art. |
Finished the day off with some more World Cup in the hotel lounge. It was a fine end to a very fine day! |
