| Saturday - July 7 Nice to see the sunshine back again though it is pretty humid. Lauterbourg is just south of the German border so we left France very early in today's ride. |

| They were everywhere. One flew right past Megan just after Donna put away her camera. It was a magical moment. |

| We stopped for lunch at the Biergarten in Leimersheim for lunch. The restaurant was closed but the clubhouse next door was serving food as a fundraiser for their soccer club. We had fun becoming part of the local crowd of supporters. |

| Even though the pictures don't show it, there were a lot of people out walking and biking and kids playing on the playground on this warm summer Saturday. |

| Hey, we thought we were in Germany, not Texas! We didn't arrive at the hotel until 6 pm so it was an excellent place to have dinner as it was right next door and we were really tired after a long but beautiful day. Then we watched Croatia beat Russia. The game wasn't over until 10:30 so that BBQ must have been pretty potent! |
