July 26 - Rostock to Krakow Am See

Sunday - It is sunny but it is really, really windy.
We tried to use Google Map to get us back to the route without going back through the city. It did not work out very well....dirt road ahead.
So a half hour later we were back where we started.
It did give us a second chance to check out the practice track at this huge bike store.
At least these stones are flat.

At one of the stoplights where we were trying to decide which way to go, a local cyclist gave us some great advice for getting back on the route without going downtown. It still seemed like it took forever to get out of town. Now though we are more buffeted by the crosswind. At one intersection, Donna had to take shelter behind a shrub so she wouldn't get blown over while mounting up.
The symbol for our route is the second from the right. We will get to know it well by the time we reach Berlin.
These roadside maps helped too.

Arriving in the town of Schwann where we hope to find a bank. We brought 20 Euros with us leftover from our last trip and we are almost out.

Three different people have tried to tell us how to find the bank but we can't find it. We decided we needed more calories before we tried one last time. This worked because the bakery clerk told us to look for a big red S. Success at last!

Later we picked up some sandwiches at a gas station then found these scenic steps to sit on while we ate.

Our first time camping this trip.

Time to do laundry, except there is only one washer and it is full and won't be done for 2 hours according to the timer. And, of course, all the directions were in German.
Went to dinner instead.

Laundry kept us up until dark......which is 10:00 right now.....and it still wasn't done. Doug got up in the middle of the night to get our clothes out of the dryer.
