Saturday - Nykobing, Denmark to Rostock, Germany - We guess that Denmark is sad to see us leave so the sky is crying.....a lot! |
Actually, we are a little sad also to be leaving. |
Well maybe not that sad to leave the wet stuff behind! |
Seems like we just got the essentials figured out. |
Gedser is our town of departure. |
We aren't the only ones heading south. |
She was trying to dry out her shoes. |
The passenger waiting area ticket machine was broken so Donna had to act like a bus and get our tickets at the motor vehicle entry point. |
And then the sun came out! These chaps are from Australia. |
Just waiting our turn to go up the stairs to the upper deck. |
Where there was coffee and hot chocolate! The two hour ride gave us some time to work on pictures for the blog. |
This Swedish bus driver was full of questions about our journey and gave us a thumbs up as he drove off the ferry. |
Just waiting for all the tour buses to depart. |
Seemed like it took forever to get out of the port area as it was so large |
From BIG ferry to Little ferry. This one takes us across the Warnow River to downtown Rostock. |
Lunch was waiting for us on the other side which meant we had to figure out the menu in German now. Thank goodness for Google Translate. |
We arrived at our hotel as they were preparing for this wedding party. The couple arrived to fireworks going off along the driveway and were showered with poppy petals. |
Must be a German tradition. The bride and groom are cutting through a log with a hand crosscut saw. |
