August 15 - Americans on loaded bikes are rare.

Saturday - Teplice nad Metuji to Jaromer
We did have a good night and it is actually cool enough this morning to wear a long sleeve shirt for a little while.
The camoflaged bike storage facility.
Not very spacious either but it worked.
The hikers and mountain bikers will show up later and it will be a beehive of activity once again.
Fortunately, our route out of town took a different road, one that was not under construction.
Summer Camp has just finished and they are taking a group shot before loading up the bus. Sounded like they still had a lot of energy to burn.
12%...sure glad we are going down instead of up!
It was a blast...good pavement and no traffic...except the tour bus. After he passed while Donna was taking the next picture, she was able to keep up with him, especially as we approached the switchback almost at the bottom. Totally made up for the 9% up yesterday.

The switchback

Cerveny Kostelec in time for lunch, except the first place we stopped didn't open until 1pm.

This place had a bunch of bikes in front so we knew it was open.  Four sandwiches and ice cream cost about $3. And we thought Poland was cheap!
Lots of agriculture in this part of the Czech Republic too.
Look close....Donna's down there somewhere.

This guy was totally posing.
The backyard restaurant at our pension in Jaromer.
Tomas II knew some English so he had been recruited for the evening by his uncle, Jaroslav (or his dad, Tomas I). He actually met us as we pulled up in front of the pension and said "Are you from the US?" He was really excited to be able to practice his English. They treated us like celebrities though Tomas was happy that we ate early because he wanted to go to a party.....it was Saturday night after all.
The heat does make it easy to dry the laundry overnight.
Too hot to snuggle anyway!
