July 21 - The Law of Castles is in our favor.

Tuesday - To Hillerod and back. We planned to visit a castle that is about 20 miles north of town today. It decided to rain this morning so we did laundry and caught up on the journal and pictures. The nice thing about the sun settin g at 10pm is that we still had time to do the ride after lunch!

Had lunch and then headed out of town for the first time. The bike paths continue to be extensive and well-maintained.
Lyngby - we stopped at a hardware store and picked up another electrical adaptor as having only one was proving inadequate for 2 smart phones, 2 cameras, and a laptop.

Stopped here to use their restroom and Doug got locked in because he couldn't figure out the knob. (It wasn't that intuitive) The clerk had to rescue him!

The Fredericksborg Castle in the background. It is on an island.

The gardens and water feature as we left the castle area.
Denmark wildlife........they sure gunked up our fenders as there were hundreds of them on the bike path and we couldn't avoid all of them.
Blovstrod Church - almost all the churches in the area have a cemetery attached.
Back in Lyngby where we stopped for dinner.
Fanciest manhole covers we've ever seen. We took a slightly different route home from here and got back a little after 8 pm, plenty of daylight left and time to prepare for leaving town for good tomorrow. A little sad to be leaving as we finally have things figured out and know our way around.
