| Thursday - September 7 - Itasca SP to Bemidji It was at least 10 degrees warmer this morning than yesterday but also more clouds. |

| This time we measured the boardwalk. It is 0.4 miles long! |

| These flashing lights come on as a bike approaches a spot where the trail crosses the road. It also triggers flashing lights on a caution sign on the road. |

| The Mary Gibbs Visitor Center didn't open until 10:00 and we arrived at 9:45. We wanted some more postcards so spent the time reading more displays. Click on the picture to make it big enough to read the poem, just one of several. |

| Even in the middle of nowhere he can find a place to lean his bike while he sheds a layer! You will have to wait until the next post to see pictures of Bemidji. We got there at 4:00, needed to do laundry and so we didn't do any exploring except to Walmart, which was across the street from our motel. |
