Canada 2016 - Regina to Indian Head

Friday - July 8
In a local tabloid "You live in Canada if you know all 4 seasons: Almost winter, winter, still winter, and road construction."
We had 6 miles with all the traffic in the eastbound lanes as they are re-paving the westbound lanes. Actually, it felt like we had a lot more room than the cars did. It was just more noisy.
We were glad that the weather predictions for a headwind this morning did NOT materialize.
Red-wing blackbirds have almost been our constant companions through the prairie.
Except that the names are different, it could be Iowa.
Sometimes there are large gaps in the traffic which makes it easy to go to the other side to get a better picture and, certainly, visibility isn't an issue!
Looks like a light cross-breeze.
It is also "Seal Frost Cracks" season. This guy was pretty talented with the sprayer.
Our destination for the day just as the wind is starting to pick up.
Then we looked left and saw buffalo.....finally! We had seen signs warning of moose a few miles back but not buffalo.

There are planters and hanging baskets everywhere.
Continuing our collection of bicycle art pictures.

Sherry's on Grand where we had the most awesome lunch of the trip. It was so awesome that we had soup for dinner.

We stopped at the water park and 2 year old Carson was giving us advice right away.
He even pushed the button so the water would start spraying out of all the features .
He and Doug had quite the conversation in one word sentences.
The clouds did gather again this evening but the rain seems to be staying north of us. We'll see what the morning brings.
