Wednesday - July 13 Wet is the name of the day. A 17 mph tailwind was not all that enticing under the circumstances. |
After breakfast, we watched the last 30 km of Stage 10, hoping that it might just dry up before checkout time. |
"I'm not old, I'm ripe".....maybe that could be our motto, especially after a really sweaty day! |
Theresa had already spoiled us so much and graciously let us sign up for another night without thinking of us as wimps. (Doug was doing that to himself) |
It did finally dry out for a couple of hours in the afternoon. We walked to lunch and then went in search of the Natural History Museum at Brandon University. |
It turned out that the museum has been dismantled and is in storage. :( |
It was still a pleasant walk through a nice, shady older neighborhood. |
A little fun in the pool and waterslide filled out the afternoon. |
It would have been even more fun with the granddaughters Tia and Alana! |
The hot tub was pretty fine too. |
