Canada 2016 - Brandon Rain Day

Wednesday - July 13
Wet is the name of the day. A 17 mph tailwind was not all that enticing under the circumstances.
After breakfast, we watched the last 30 km of Stage 10, hoping that it might just dry up before checkout time.
"I'm not old, I'm ripe".....maybe that could be our motto, especially after a really sweaty day!
11:00 came and went and it was even more intense to the east.
Theresa had already spoiled us so much and graciously let us sign up for another night without thinking of us as wimps. (Doug was doing that to himself)
It did finally dry out for a couple of hours in the afternoon. We walked to lunch and then went in search of the Natural History Museum at Brandon University.

It turned out that the museum has been dismantled and is in storage. :(
It was still a pleasant walk through a nice, shady older neighborhood.
A little fun in the pool and waterslide filled out the afternoon.
It would have been even more fun with the granddaughters Tia and Alana!

The hot tub was pretty fine too.
And what is a rest day without a little post-pool nap?
It rained much of the evening to the east of town but tomorrow looks like a dry day with a tailwind. We didn't really need a rest day but are glad we had the flexibility to sit this one out.
