Canada 2016 - Gull Lake to Swift Current

Sunday - July 3
Just a little sunscreen to start the day. Thank goodness for disappearing zinc oxide. We had another Angel of the Road show up at breakfast. A man from Winnipeg sat at the next table and struck up a conversation. He gave us some advice on places to see there. We were in the process of leaving when he came outside to also tell us which road to use to avoid 18 miles of construction just west of Winnipeg.
We have a 7-8 mph tailwind today!!!
We can see forever.....or at least 7 miles.
The motorcyclists are enjoying the morning too.
Canada Day weekend is almost over. We got to Swift Current in time for lunch. We are glad that today was a little shorter so we didn't have to share the road with all those people headed back to work tomorrow.
We have stopped at several of the CO-OP gas stations over the last few days but this is a whole half a mall! We hung out here until our motel room was ready.
They had a mini-museum inside the store that covered the history of the Co-op.
It is a semi-rest day so we watched the very exciting last 10 miles of the 2nd stage of the Tour de France, did some laundry, hung out in the pool for awhile and worked on logistics on the "front porch".
