Savona to Kamloops

July 5 - Friday
A cloudy morning as the sun rises over Kamloops Lake.
It is just not fair that it is uphill out of the campground though we haven't had breakfast yet so at least the legs have some blood going to them. Optical illusions are still playing games with us as we head to breakfast.
The trains sang their music throughout the night but we are getting used to it.

Conveniently, there was a rest area at the top of the first long grade of the day.

Just one more long grade into Kamloops. Notice the dents in his helmet suffered during the train ride while Doug was NOT wearing it.

Two things - a tailwind and there is a tiny smiley face just above the red stripe on the flagpole that is encouraging us to the top of the hill.

We think this pond has something to do with some mining activity we just passed.

Really! There isn't a building in sight and the town center is 7 miles away. That is quite a city limit.
Now it looks like a city. We are at the Visitor Information Centre.

A little electricity couldn't hurt but where do I plug it in????

(Electric Vehicle charging station at the Visitor Centre).
We spent the rest of the day resupplying and trying to find a new watchband for Donna's watch. It fell apart during one of our photo stops.....better place than on one of those downhill stretches!

After a week we have accumulated 336 miles and lots of great memories.
