Mission to Hope, we hope

June 30 - Sunday
It is a beautiful, warm morning as we head up the Fraser River  Valley through  lots of farms.
.........and dairies

The Fraser is one BIG river!
See that big grin. We had climbed a pretty good hill that was 11% on the downhill side. We got up to 41 mph with no effort on our part thanks to our trusty steeds.
How do you pronounce it? "Ag a see"
As if the day wasn't already a good one, our lunch experience made it exceptional. The fellow at the table next to ours overheard our conversation with the waitress and decided to pay for our lunch covertly because he appreciated our adventure. He slipped out before we knew he had done it. Thank you so much Brian, the motorcycle guy, for your generosity. We hope the waitress gave you the "Angel of the Road" card we left in her care. (You made her smile too!)

Hope just ahead.
Due to the recent rains the river is still running pretty high and silty.
The Telte Yet Campground, a First Nations enterprise, is right on the river and has lots of shade, a good thing since it is 92 F in the shade. Boy did that shower feel good.
Good time to do laundry too since everything is going to dry really fast with the heat and the good breeze.
The laundry room also helped us meet Michael and Joanna.  Donna recognized them right off as fellow bike tourists because they were carrying 8 bike water bottles. This is their first bike tour and they are going for the gusto, riding from Vancouver to Ontario where her mother lives. They are just returning from 6 months working in New Zealand and are on their way back to England.

After dinner, we rode to the grocery store and discovered the chainsaw art that is Hope is known for.

We made our way back to camp at dusk which is almost 10:00  right now.
