July 1 - Monday - A national holiday, Canada Day (this map is for today and tomorrow) |
Sun was up at 5:22 and it was already warm when we hit the road. |
Standing on a handy stump made Donna feel really tall. |
Not just any trucks but, specifically log trucks. |
This section is part of 2 different BC Circle Routes, similar to Oregon's Scenic Byways. |
Ice cream break. |
The first of 7 tunnels that we will navigate today. There were good directions for cyclists to safely travel through them. |
The sidewalk was plenty wide but it was sure a tight fit at the end. |
We tried to capture how fast the water is moving but not adequately. |
The Alexandra Bridge, high over the Fraser River, was built in 1962. |
Lunch at last at the Elvis Rocks the Canyon Cafe. |
The name says it all. We found out later that it is 100-105 F at this time in our day. |
Hurray.....town ahead |
