2017 MinnWisMi - Montague to Grand Haven

Friday - October 6 - Montague to Grand Haven
Our suite came with a covered porch so Doug took advantage and did a little bike maintenance before we hit the road.
The clouds have not departed yet.
We are back on the Hart-Montague trail as it crosses White Lake.

There were several of these art and bench mini gardens as we made our way through White Hall on the trail.
There were a whole series of these signs along one section of the trail. Each one had 3 different suggested actions.

This part of the trail was going around a huge factory though we only caught glimpses of it. They manufacture high tech metal castings for the aerospace industry.

We are back on the road again, a quiet country road with some nice color so Doug could try his "blur" picture again. Pretty nice!
He laid his bike next to the road while he was taking the picture. While he was retrieving it a motorist stopped to ask if he needed help.
It is feeling more like autumn all the time.
We could see this smokestack for miles as we approached Muskegon. We had an excellent chicken pot pie for lunch at Lee's Famous Recipe Chicken in North Muskegon.
Then we followed the Muskegon Lakeshore Trail.
The USS 393 tank landing ship during World War II, now part of a museum.
Doug collecting another bike rack picture. We have seen so many different styles on this trip.
Art shows up in the darnedest places!
We have literally seen hundreds of churches during our bike trips. Some have been hundreds of years old and some have been quite modern. We have voted this the ugliest one we have ever seen. Sorry St. Frances de Sales.
Just a little different kind of yard decoration!
We had some mundane shopping to do once we arrived and didn't take any pictures past here.
We were quite happy to find out that Tim Horton's/Coldstone Creamery was right next door to our motel. The weather forecast for tomorrow is not looking promising, rain and 15-20 mph headwinds with gusts to 30 mph. We may be here awhile!
