Canada 2016 - Jasper Jaunts

Thursday, June 16
The Ambling Birch Guest House is our kind of place. Our hosts, Leslie and Victor have been very helpful and kind.
Victor works at one of the ski/sporting goods shops and made this chair.
Decided to do a little exploring north of town since we will be going south tomorrow. The high is supposed to be 50F today with a chance of an afternoon shower.

Returning the favor we've asked several times already.
We had lunch at Lake Edith along with a bunch of 1st graders out for a field trip. They were having great fun building sandcastles. They don't get out of school until June 27th.
The Athabasca River. The light didn't do justice to the glacial blue of the water.
Came back in the north entrance to town with a little bit of sprinkles.
We spent the afternoon in the museum. It was well worth the time. Followed up with a snack at the Bear Paw Bakery.
Then we went shopping for food for the next couple of days. A very nice day to be hanging out and prepping.
