| Sunday - Cologne to Julich We did NOT stay in this room but it was only a few doors down the hall. We also did not see any presidents. |

| Right before this the road came to a T intersection with a big wall and gate and then a very tall berm. Naturally we were a little curious when this staircase showed up. |

| We stopped at a bus stop shelter in Hollen to eat our pretzels (lunch #1 as we are trying to beat the rain to our hotel) and found this bike route map across the road. |

| This chapel in Welldorf was built in 1887 and restored from 2009-2011. |

| We reached Julich at 1400 and stopped for lunch #2 at a gas station bistro. The grilled tuna tandori sandwich was delicious. We did beat the rain. |

| Our hotel has a mini-museum about energy with a timeline from 300 BC to the present. There are several hands-on exhibits targeted for kids. This one is about the energy generated by out hearts. The whole hotel seemed geared to families since it was next door to an amusement park. |
