Paris Adeiu

Day 45 - Wednesday - July 27
The half way through our trip day
The eye fix-it day
The last day in Paris
This is a picture of what we call "pigeon pokers". We don't know what they really call them but the function is to keep birds from perching and roosting. These are on the kitchen window sill.

This is the eye hospital. It is much more modern on the inside. The treatment went as planned and we are now free to leave Paris and enjoy the rest of our trip.
Handy use for a sidewalk stump.

We first saw these in Victoria, BC and like them even more after seeing lots of them here. Do you think a red one would look good in our driveway?

We were able to get to the Notre Dame Cathedral in time for the evening mass. The priest reading the gospel did a wonderful rendering though we didn't understand a word he said. They played one of the pipe organs during the service....our sound of the day.

After dinner, we finally found a lock of our own to put on the Pont du Arts. What more romantic time could there be than  at night in the City of Lights.

That's our spot, 2 railing panels past the 3rd light post from the right bank. Now we really are ready to say goodbye to Paris.
