July 19 - Copenhagen is bicycle heaven

Sunday - July 19 - This little shopping area became our home away from home since it had a couple of restaurants and 2 food markets, and a bank and it was only a 2 minute from the apartment.
We are headed for the Kastellet. There is some construction happening behind that wall. We noticed art on construction barriers like this in several places around town.
We are here. There is the old part....

....and there is a new part. This is a memorial for Danish peace-keeping mission around the world. This says "One Moment, One Place, One Person"

The view from the star-shaped ramparts that surrounds tke Kastellet.
We saw many similar statues all around the area, some sitting, some standing.

This "little" yacht was parked not far from the water fountain. It is the 2nd largest yacht in the world and owned by a Russian businessman. Larry......this guy has the right idea about dinghies...and don't you think the helicopter would be handy too?

You just never know where you will find Michelangelo's work!

A bridge with locks...it brings back memories of Paris and the Pont du Arts. Alas, we read just recently that they are removing the locks on the 2 bridges in Paris as there were just too many.

Just a little snack to get us back home...a little like Paris, too.
