Day 4 - Gliding Down the East Side of the Cascades

Day 4 - Odell Lake Resort to Chemult
We slept like logs last night but woke early enough to get the water while it was still glassy.

Off to breakfast.

We were told that the owner caught a 39 pound trout just last week. The record from this lake is 40 pounds. Makes this one look small.
Time to depart our cozy abode. It was soooo nice of the fellow to change us from a lodge room to this cabin even if it was up the hill.

Back on Highway 58 for a little longer. It is a bit cooler this morning.
Shouldn't have a problem with the snow???
We get to turn right out there somewhere.
Donna has to try this every now and then...camera upside down on top of her helmet while pedaling. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't!
We were stopped at Halfway House when these 2 road up. Juliette and Geoff took the Amtrak to Klamath Falls and are headed back to Portland. They went through Crater Lake and are headed to the Cascade Lakes Highway. We hope they read this blog as Donna forgot to write our email address on the card and this is the only way they are going to see the picture that we promised to send them. J & G - leave us a comment when you get home and we will try again!
Getting ready to turn south.
This is not very helpful since Chemult comes first.

This was a handy (and typical) side road, good for taking a break.

Our destination for the day. Almost a rest day compared to yesterday!
