Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Keflavik, Iceland |
Day 87 - Wednesday - September 7 Moving out day. We are thankful for these luggage carts as it makes the process so much smoother and quicker. |
Loaded up one more time. |
It isn't raining (yet) but it is certainly windy - a 20 mph headwind again. |
This bike path will take us all the way to the airport terminal. |
In real life this wind guage was a blur. |
It looks even more impressive when a 747 is taxiing overhead. |
Portland Airport should take a lesson on bike boxes from Schiphol. These are easy to assemble, very sturdy, and require minimal bike disassembly (remove pedals and handlebars). |
The repacking of all our gear is almost complete. Just a little more tape should do it! |
However, moving the boxes through the airport to check-in is a little challenging. |
Does that mean the companion is lumpy? |
Goodby canals and windmills...... |
Hello, lava and wind in Keflavik, Iceland. The boxes make pretty good sails. We only had to tack once to reach the parking lot. |
