Our first stop in Boise was the Idaho Mountain Touring store, a combo bike shop/outdoor gear much like our favorite bike shop, Peak Sports in Corvallis. They were very helpful with advice for good places to eat and checked our tire pressure for us. This picture is the inside of Big City Coffee, the place they sent us for lunch. The food was very delicious and plentiful.
After checking into the Modern Motel, we visited the Boise Library and the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, which is right next door.
It is a beautiful and peaceful place. It was dedicated in 2002 and is right next to the Greenway bike path and the Boise River.

The fellow behind Donna took our picture and then chatted with us awhile. He rides bikes too and gave us some good route advice for getting out of town the next morning.

Boise State University which is right across the river from the park. Guess Taco Bell must have donated a bunch of money.

So many choices! This is dessert at Cold Stone Creamery after having pizza at the Piehole Pizza by the Slice across the street.

I haven't met you yet Donna, but feel lucky to get to track you two across America. It's an honor and a pleasure to work with Doug - when I returned from my own vacation to hear he was on this trip it sounded like too good to be true! Glad to hear about people following their dream.
